What you lose
Dying in a hunt costs experience and skills, and can cost items. Your blessings (plus the Bless charm against the creature that killed you) reduce the experience and skill loss, up to 90% — reached with 7 blessings. The loss is then multiplied by the server death rate (×1). There is no cap on levels lost.
Each equipped item rolls separately; the backpack is one roll for the whole bag (gold is never lost, and untradable items are kept). Characters up to level 8 never lose items.
| Blessings | 0 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 |

| Chance to lose each equipped item | 10% | 7% | 4.5% | 2.5% | 1% | 0% | 0% | 0% |
| Chance to lose the whole backpack | 100% | 80% | 60% | 40% | 20% | 0% | 0% | 0% |

Amulet of Loss
An equipped Amulet of Loss protects all your equipment and your backpack. It is used up when you die, even if nothing would have dropped, and it does not protect experience or skills.
Blessings
Blessings are bought with gold (the price grows with your level; the enhanced ones cost more) or with Femur Coins in the store, and all of them are used up when you die in a hunt. What counts is what you had at the moment of death — buying blessings afterwards doesn’t help. Gold prices at a few levels:
| Blessing | Type | Lv 20 | Lv 50 | Lv 100 | Lv 200 | Lv 400 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| The Wisdom of Solitude | Regular | 2,000 | 6,000 | 16,000 | 26,000 | 41,000 |

Parties and City War
In a normal party hunt, one member dying ends the hunt for everyone. In boss fights, raids and quest rooms only that member leaves. In a City War battle, dying only costs time out of the fight — no experience, skill or item loss, and blessings are not used up.
